Trace Thomas is an editorial, commercial, still life, and travel photographer from Lubbock, Texas who currently lives in Oklahoma City. His works include environmental portraits and features for magazines, books, and commercial use. Trace is available for both domestic and international travel.
Trace is a graduate from Texas Tech University with a masters degree in mass communications. Prior to that he graduated from Tech with a bachelors in public relations. While at Tech, Trace discovered his love for story. He is interested in storytelling through visual communication.
Trace’s photography experience is mostly editorial, landscape, and commercial work. Locally, Trace has shot editorial pieces and advertisements for Oklahoma City publications called Territory OKC and 405 Magazine, as well as for a modeling agency called Brink Models. He has had photos published in all the major local publications in Lubbock, Texas while he was at Texas Tech. Trace worked for Jerod Foster for a year as a photo assistant while in graduate school. There he learned how to manage his own business, interact with clients and subjects, and gained a better understanding of natural and studio lighting. Trace still returns to Lubbock often to shoot concerts for a local online publication, New Slang.
Trace is also a freelance digital media marketer. Trace’s digital media marketing experience includes designing, creating, and implementing strategic marketing, advertising, and public relation tactics in order to help develop and maintain a consistent brand and/or message. Trace mostly does this through online media such as Google and Facebook advertising, search engine optimization, and social media. Trace is experienced in WordPress and Squarespace. Trace also has experience working with traditional media as well, such as press releases, radio and print advertisements, and putting together press kits.
